We've reached the end.

Yesterday saw our experts comparing Android and iOS and the benefits of each. We've pushed them into new games, had them make videos, review apps, manage their fitness ad customise their phones. It's been a fun week using QR codes, augmented reality and making their phones work all by themselves.

We've reached the final day, the last challenge, the tour de force.

We want out experts (and you) to show your love of Android by adding the lovable Android into a photo.

Make him big or small, towering over the city or plastered flat against your lounge room wall. I want to see Android loud and clear! The photo must be your own and you're welcome to edit the Android in using any software of your choice.

Post as soon as you can, we've changed the rules for today and we'll hand off the $25 Vodafone credit to the first 5 people who post their Android edited photos.

Haha woah sorry thefineline they were pretty much the same.
How about iOS doesn't have a hundred different manufacturers modifications so it is easier to solve problems when they arise and connectivity is generally easier (itunes vs kies).
And the open source nature of android means it becomes a user driven environment and it is only the limitations of the hardware that restrict what the user can do with the device.

I agree that the main benefit to iThings is the uniformity. Updates are all rolled out at the same time, and all iThings are the same. In this regard, I compare them to that famous scottish restaurant (the one with the golden arches) It doesn't matter if you order a Big Mac in Perth or Beijing, you know exactly what you are going to get. Having said that, I don't very often indulge in their food, but at least if I did, I know what I am ordering.

Android, on the other hand, apart from the user customisation, has the advantage of hardware choice. Users are not restricted to a 3.5 inch screen. While this may suit some people with small hands or pockets, playing angry birds with a magnifying glass is not my idea of fun.

Finally, while I am not here to bag iThings as they do have a place in the world, I seem to see many more iThings with smashed screens than I do androids. This is purely observational and could be due to many things:

1. There are more iThings out there to start with

2. iThing users are clumsy

3. iThings are more fragile

4. Users of iThings are more sociable (therefore consuming more refreshments in their social settings)

Maybe Tim can access some stats from the Vodfone repair guys to see which ones really do get broken more often?

As for the picture, mine won't be up for about 4 hours or so. I have a plan, but it will need to wait until lunchtime when I can get out of the office.
